International Women’s Day (IWD) is a concept that is older than a century. The decision to celebrate International Women’s Day was agreed in Copenhagen, Denmark. The first of its kind in history under the International Label was celebrated in 1911 with more than a million attendees. Year on year, March 8 is earmarked for the observance of this day.
